Overview

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Cell of the university, structured into three wings—software, network, and hardware—with 26 approved positions under its organogram, serves as the backbone of the institution’s digital operations. On the software side, it is responsible for maintaining the university’s official web server, managing email accounts for faculty, staff, and students, and supporting key systems such as e-Payment, e-Service, Guest House Booking, and University Automation Software. In terms of networking, the Cell ensures reliable internet connectivity through fiber optic backbone, UTP, and wireless networks, while also overseeing the continuous upgradation and maintenance of the Data Center, LAN, Wi-Fi, and eduroam connections across academic, administrative, and residential facilities. It further manages platforms like BdREN POP, Virtual Classroom, and Big Data Analytic Lab, and provides technical support for admission processes and procurement activities. The hardware wing supports employees by repairing and maintaining computers, printers, and related devices, along with preparing specifications and verifying the quality of ICT equipment for university offices and departments. To advance both academic and administrative services, the ICT Cell is also actively developing new service-oriented software for students and teachers.
