Biography
I have been serving as an Assistant Professor of French at
the Institute of Modern Languages (IML), Shahjalal University of
Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh, since May 2019. Prior to
this appointment, I worked as a Lecturer in French at the same
institute from May 2017 to May 2019.
Currently, I am on study leave and pursuing a Master’s
degree in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) at Université
Paris Nanterre, France.
In 2023, I successfully completed a teacher training program in
“Teaching French as a Foreign Language” at CAVILAM – Alliance
Française, Vichy, France. I hold an Advanced Diploma in French
Language (C1 level) from Alliance Française de Dhaka, as
well as a Higher Diploma in French Language (equivalent to an
Honours degree) from the Institute of Modern Languages (IML),
University of Dhaka.
In addition to my academic training in French language and literature, I
have obtained both a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a Master
of Education (M.Ed.) from the Institute of Education and
Research (IER), University of Dhaka, which have strengthened my pedagogical
and research skills.
Alongside my teaching and academic activities, I am also actively
engaged in translation work. Notably, I have translated Le
Petit Nicolas from French into Bengali, contributing to the promotion
of Francophone literature among Bengali-speaking readers.

Research Interests
- To work in foreign language teaching-learning approaches in the context of Bangladesh.
- To translate different types of literary genres like the short stories, poems, novels, drama, classics, fiction, thriller etc from French to Bengali and vice versa.
- To develop the course curriculum, conduct French language course for the adult as foreign language and evaluate the same.
- To develop the course curriculum and train up the instructors of French for the school going children and adolescents as foreign language and evaluate the same.
