Research

The Department of Architecture, SUST, is involved in a wide variety of research activities relating to all aspects of architecture and build environment. Department of Architecture, in collaboration with Centre for Research, Testing, and Consultancy (CRTC Architecture), focuses on research areas such as building planning and design, interior design, landscape development, urban planning and urban renewal, conservation of historical sites and monuments, architecture of Bengal region, sustainable design, low-cost housing, etc., according to the regional context. In addition, the Department of Architecture supports high-quality research collaboration among research students and experienced faculty staff with technical equipment and infrastructure, a computer laboratory, Fab Lab and seminar library facilities. Every year, the faculty successfully receives external funding for research projects.
