Biography

Dr. Pabel Shahrear received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh in the year 2002 and 2004 respectively. Then he joined the same department in the year 2004 as a Lecturer of the Department of Mathematics, SUST. He ranked first and achieved the “CHANCELLOR’S GOLD MEDAL, VICE-CHANCELLOR’S MEDAL, and BOOK PRICE MEDAL” in recognition of the highest talent and greatest achievement among all graduates of the University in the faculty also in the Department in the Masters Level Examination 2000 which conferred on 6th December 2007. Furthermore, he received a One-year Graduate level course training at the University of Padova in the year 2009, Italy. Finally, A thesis titled ”Analysis of Piece-wise Linear Equations with Bizarre Dynamics” was submitted as partial fulfillment of my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Professor Nicoletta Del BUONO, faculty-supervised the thesis work, Department of Mathematics, University of Bari, Aldo Moro, Italy, and Professor Leon Glass, Faculty, Department of Physiology and Medicine, McGill University, Montreal Canada. During my Ph.D., his course work and defense were conducted in Italy, but his Ph.D. research was completely executed at the Department of Physiology and Medicine, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. This Ph.D. was a joint venture between Italy and Canada. In the year 2015, he was awarded his Ph.D.
