Biography
Ahad Ullah is a Lecturer
in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Shahjalal
University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. Prior to
joining SUST, he served as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil
Engineering at Daffodil International University (DIU) until June 14, 2025. He
also held academic positions as a Lecturer at Port City International
University and as an Adjunct Faculty Member at City University, Bangladesh. Mr.
Ullah completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering
from SUST, graduating with 1st position in his class. He earned his Master of
Science in Civil Engineering with a major in Geotechnical Engineering from
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), under the
supervision of Dr. Mohammad Shariful Islam. In addition to his academic roles,
he actively contributed to student welfare as an Assistant House Tutor at
YKSG-1 Hall, DIU, and regularly supported students with engineering and
mathematical problem-solving. He has published over 12 technical papers in
national and international journals and conferences. He also has experience
supervising undergraduate thesis and project students in the field of civil
engineering. Mr. Ullah is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh
(IEB) and also a member of the Centre for Research, Testing and Consultancy
(CRTC) of the Department of CEE, SUST. With a strong academic foundation and a
growing interest in Geotechnical Engineering research, he aspires to pursue a
Ph.D. abroad to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and
practice in the field.
