Biography
Dr. Farjana Islam is faculty member at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. She started her career in the department as a lecturer from November 2018. Prior to joining this department, she was a faculty member at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj. She has completed her PhD from the Institute of Immunity and Transplantation at University College London (UCL), United Kingdom under a Commonwealth Scholarship. She obtained her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degree with excellent academic record in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Rajshahi University. In her academic session, she was the top scorer in Bachelor of Science Examination in the Science faculty of Rajshahi University. Her research focuses in the area of Immunology, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Public Health.
