Biography
Dr. Ali Oakkas has been serving as a faculty member of Social Work, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh since 2004. He completed his Undergraduate and Graduate in Social Work from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. His major research interests lie in the field of Wetland management, Haor people, Ethnicity, NGOs Initiatives for social development, Food Security, and Gender Issues of Bangladesh.He has written various columns for national and local dailies on different social and psychological issues.Dr Oakkas has gained experience in presenting research findings to international conference in country and abroad.
