Biography

Shahrin Fardous graduated from Department of English at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. Her interests include: Literary Theories with a focus on Marxist Criticism, Post-colonial Studies, Feminism, Existentialism, Modernist Literature, European Fiction and Drama and South Asian Literature. She presented her papers at different international conferences, such as Diasporas and Diversities: Teaching English in a Changing World organized by Independent University, Bangladesh; Magic & Literature organized by University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh; Language, Literature, Culture and Politics: Marx’s Bicentenary Conference organized by University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. Her scholarly articles have been published in reputed Journals. Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. Shahrin finds herself much more expressive being a teacher and it defines her who she is. She believes with this career she can make a difference to people’s lives as well as to the society.
