Biography

Dr. Himadri Sekhar Roy obtained his PhD from University of Pune, Pune, India under the Government of India (ICCR) scholarship scheme in 2011. He did his MPhil and MA from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, India. He completed his BA Hons form University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India. He joined as Lecturer of English in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology(CUET), Chittagong, Bangladesh in 1999. Later he joined as Lecturer of English in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology(SUST) on January 16, 2001. Since then, he has been teaching in the Department of English at the same university till date. At present he has been serving as Professor of English. He served as Proctor of the university for 3+ years and also served as Founder Director of Institute of Modern languages (IML) for 3+ years also. Dr. Roy took the charge of the head of the department on 15/10/2018. He has so far participated and presented papers in 10 international conferences in different countries like Thailand, India and Nepal. He published around 20 articles in peer reviewed national and international journals and two books. He has successfully completed many research projects in ELT area. His research interest lies in Drama and ELT.
