Biography
Faria Binte Arif is a dedicated researcher based in Sylhet, Bangladesh, with a robust academic foundation in Anthropology from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Her expertise in qualitative research drives her commitment to understanding and addressing social issues.
Currently, she serves as a faculty member in the Department of Anthropology at SUST, where she continues to inspire students and contribute to the field of qualitative research. Faria's research journey includes leading a significant project in 2020 focused on menstrual hygiene and forms of sexual violence among female street children, showcasing her ability to tackle pressing community health challenges.
Her professional experience extends to BRAC JPGSPH, where she honed her skills before taking on the role of Research Fellow at icddr,b, concentrating on HIV and AIDS and Key population. Faria's passion for research and community engagement is reflected in her active participation in various impactful projects throughout her career, making her a valuable asset to the academic and research communities.
