Biography

Professor Dr. Md. Shajedul Karim was born on August 30, 1968. He is from a well-respected family. In 1992, he began working as a lecturer in the mathematics department. He has been a professor in the same department since 2007. He is one of the longest-serving elected Syndicate members of the university. He also worked for the university as a proctor and the director of student counseling and guidance. Dr. Karim served the department twice as its head and the School of Physical Sciences once as dean. He guided two Ph.D. and numerous MS theses in the area of mathematics.

  • Study on the general mesh generating algorithms and the domain integrals for developing computer code to solve the two-dimensional continuum mechanics problems, 2021-2023.

  • Development of the general algorithm for mesh generation of two-dimensional (covex and cocave) domains and the code for solving the continuum mechanics problems, 2020-2022.
  • Study on domain integrals and automatic mesh generation-An attempt to develop software for solving engineering problems, 2018-2019.
