Biography

Md. Khairul Islam has been a full-time faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh, since February 2004, and is currently serving as the department chair. He served as the Dean of the School of Management and Business Administration at SUST from June 6, 2021, to June 5, 2023. He completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 1992 from Rajshahi Collegiate School and his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in 1994 from Rajshahi College, both under the Rajshahi Education Board. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Management and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a major in Management from the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Administration, Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. He obtained his Ph.D. in Marketing from the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mr. Khairul began his academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at SUST in 2004 and is currently serving as a professor in the same department. Additionally, he has served as a Lecturer in the School of Business at Bangladesh Open University, Gazipur, Bangladesh. With over 20 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Khairul possesses extensive knowledge in Management, Tourism, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Quantitative Analysis. He has published numerous refereed research papers in esteemed national and international journals and has presented his work at various national and international conferences.
