Biography
Md. Numan Hossain was born and grew up in the district of Jamalpur, Bangladesh. After completing his S.S.C. and H.S.C. with success, he enrolled in his B.Sc. in the Petroleum & Mining Engineering department at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. Mr. Hossain accomplished his B.Sc. degree with distinction and first merit position. He also obtained his M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the same institution with outstanding academic records. In May 2023, he joined as a faculty member in the Department of Petroleum & Mining Engineering, SUST, Bangladesh.
Mr. Hossain has practical experience with the world-renowned multinational company China Petroleum Pipeline Company Limited (CPP), Bangladesh. He also worked on multiple research projects as a research assistant. He is a professional member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Texas, USA, and currently acts as scholarship chairperson of the SPE Bangladesh section.
Mr. Hossain's research interests encompass petroleum waste, wastewater, heavy metals, health, safety, and environmental practices, as well as the application of machine learning algorithms in waste management. He has consistently exhibited his research excellence and has published multiple articles in prestigious Q1 journals worldwide. Numan has received the "Dean's Award for Research Excellence—2023" from the School of Applied Science, SUST. Moreover, he is an active reviewer for numerous international journals.
Mr. Hossain loves to dream and loves to fulfill his dream. Hardworking is a passion of him. Learning new skills and adaptability to new conditions are familiar to him. Having a great interest in the research field. He likes to write and read in his free time.
