Biography

Currently, I am a professor at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh, in the computer science and engineering department. I am a professor who is involved in and overseeing a number of research projects in the fields of social computing, human-computer interaction, data mining, machine learning, big data, etc. At the moment, I'm working on a number of projects related to the design and development of mobile applications for minority ethnic groups in Bangladesh, including a virtual reality (VR) app for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), an augmented reality (AR) app for the purchase of medication, a mobile app for Early Childhood Development in a developing country: its efficacy and challenges, and a VR app for students with ASD. I'm also helping the digital Sylhet city project by consulting on the hospital's automation at Osmani Medical College. My appointment as Pipilika coordinator began in January of 2020. (1st bangla search enginee company in Bangladesh). I've been given the responsibility of leading SUST's ICT Cell as of late.

I was a PhD researcher at Australia's Curtin University before I started at SUST. Furthermore, I spent two years in Greece working on a European Commission project while on a Marie Curie grant. Throughout my career, I participated on a number of research and development teams centered around software. I recently evaluated the development and deployment of several mobile applications made for farmers and agriculture extension officers as part of my work as an HCI expert for the Consulting Service for Conducting ICT Impact Research of USAID's Agriculture Extension Support Activity Project (AESA).
