Biography

Mr. Mohammad Shahidur Rahman is serving SUST as an Associate Professor in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He did his Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from SUST in 2004 (Scheduled 2001). His undergraduate research focused on the contaminant transport modeling through soil media. His PhD research title was "Design, Fabrication and Application of Cost-effective Respirometers in Environmental Biomonitoring". He became expertise in instrument design and fabrication in relation to various Civil and environmental Engineering fields. He has already filed a technical patent on a biomonitoring tool called “BIOSUST Respirometer”. Moreover he has developed a low-cost jar test apparatus, a field vane shear test apparatus, a peristaltic pump, a micro-scanner to measure microbial metabolism etc.
