Born in 1959 in Santahar (Bogura), Bangladesh.
Completed SSC (1974) from Kalsa A. U. Institution, Santahar, Bogura
Completed HSC (1976) from Rajshahi Govt. College, Rajshahi
Completed Master degree in Chemical Engineering (1979-1984) from Bourgas, Bulgaria under state scholarship, Also, completed PhD (1990) from Bulgaria
