Biography

I am Dr. Farzana Raihan serving as an Professor at the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. I had completed B.Sc. (honours) and M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. I had completed PhD in Biological Sciences from Macquarie University Australia. I have been involved in multi-disciplinary environmental research since 2007. I have been doing research on assessment of ground water quality, climate change impacts on hydrology using regional climate model, SWAT model and LCM model, vulnerability and impact assessment of climate change.

Research Interests

  • My research activities are mainly focused on climate change impact on hydrology, climate induced adaptation and migration, water resources management, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Remote sensing and GIS.
