Dr. Nahid Sultana is an academic and researcher specializing in biostatistics, epidemiology, global public health, and health data science. Her interdisciplinary expertise supports impactful research at the intersection of statistics and population health. She completed both her BSc and MSc in Statistics with First Class Honours at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh. She went on to earn a two-year MSc in Biostatistics with Distinction from Hasselt University, Belgium, funded by the Flemish Government’s Interuniversity Council (VLIR-UOS) Scholarship programme. Dr. Sultana obtained her PhD from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. Her doctoral thesis, titled "Indirect Comparisons with Population Adjustment Methods using Single-Arm Studies in Health Technology Assessment," addressed advanced methods in comparative effectiveness research. Since May 2014, she has been a faculty member in the Department of Statistics at SUST, where she is actively involved in teaching and research. Her academic work bridges statistical methodology with applications in public and global health.
