Biography
Korima Begum is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology
at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh.
She completed her BSS (Honours), MSS in Anthropology from SUST, and MA in Human
Rights and Democratization from the Institute of Human Rights and Peace
Studies, Mahidol University, Thailand. She served as a humanitarian worker with
UNHCR in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, from 2011 to 2013. Her academic and professional
interests are Human Rights, Health and Gender, Child Rights issues. She is
currently pursuing her PhD in Gender-Based Violence at SUST.
