Biography

Md Amdadul Haque is an Associate Professor in the department of Political Studies at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He specializes in Social Capital and Climate Change Adaptation. His broad, general research interests include but are not limited to social capital theory, climate change adaptation, livelihood of wetland community of Bangladesh, environmentalism, environmental politics, flood management, etc. He receives Ph.D in Political Studies at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 2024. He has completed MSS in Political Studies (2006) and BSS (Hons) in Political Studies and Public Administration (2005) from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He wrote Masters thesis on Practice of Islamic Banking in Bangladesh: Problems and Prospects. He did Ph.D research on "Role of social capital in climate change adaptation: A study on vulnerable people of haor areas in Bangladesh."
