Biography
Mr. Mohammed Omar Faruque did Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. After having B. Sc (Engineering) degree, he joined Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL) as an Assistant Manager. After that, he has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh from October 2007. Mr. Faruque has 15 more peer-reviewed journal articles where he worked either as main author or co-author.

1. Principal investigator in a research project entitled on Design and Fabrication of a Dye Sensitized Solar Cell(DSSC) and try to improve the properties of a semiconductor for DSSC. The research project was funded by the Shahjalal University Research Center under University Grant Commission, Bangladesh (2015).

Co-investigator in a research project entitled on A study on Soil, Water, Air and Social Environmental Status around the Stone Quarry Mine and Stone Crusher Plant, Jaflong- Vholaganj area, Sylhet: An Approach for Understanding the Environmental Sustainability.
