Biography

Mr. Mohammad Samiul Islam is a faculty member in the department of Public Administration. He completed his graduation and post-graduation degrees from the department of Political Studies and Public Administration and the department of Public Administration at SUST, Sylhet in 2003 and 2004 respectively. He obtained CGPA of 3.54 and 3.66 out of 4.00 both in BSS (honors) and MSS with first position respectively. He received the Vice-Chancellor's Book Prize for his outstanding academic performance in 2007. In 2014, he was awarded a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in the department of Public Administration from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He attended the 12th Foundation Training for University Teachers (FTUT) in 2014. It was organized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and the Graduate Training Institute (GTI), Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He published some journal articles and book chapters in reputed journals at home and abroad. His research interests are governance, e-governance, m-governance, public service delivery, digitalization, local governance, gender and development issues.
