Biography

Mohammad Nashir Uddin has been teaching Public Administration at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh as a faculty member since March, 2005. He started his career in 2003 at Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and then in 2004 he moved over to EXIM Bank Ltd. He graduated with Honors and obtained a Master’s in Public Administration from University of Dhaka. He also completed a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree in 2012 from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan. Further, he completed his degree of PhD in Sustainable Resource Management from the School of Environmental and Life Sciences at University of Newcastle, Australia. His fields of interest include public policy, public administration, urban governance, environmental governance, social research methodology etc. He has got published some articles in national and international peer reviewed journals on social research methodology; public policy like public health, and higher education; e-governance and development administration; judiciary; millennium development goals; and Islamic administration etc. His academic articles have appeared in the referred journals namely International Journal of Social Research, Bangladesh Journal of Public Administration, The International Journal of Development Affairs, Journal of Research in International Business and Management, Lok Proshason Samoeeky, Universal Journal of Education and General Studies. He has also got publication including working papers and conference proceedings. He has been supervising thesis, monographs and seminar of graduate and undergraduate students during his continuing teaching career.
