Biography
Dr. Rezaul Shumon is a Professor of Supply Chain & Logistics in the department of Industrial and Production Engineering, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. He has done his PhD in Sustainable Supply Chain from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. Rezaul is passionate about supporting current and future business leaders to respond to the emerging global challenges and opportunities through sustainable operations strategy. Dr. Shumon is currently lecturing and coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate supply chain, operations and project management courses at SUST. He lectures and supervises on a range of topics related to sustainability, supply chain, and circular economy. Rezaul’s research draws on insights from organization theory, political philosophy to explore how global organizations respond to the highly dynamic business environment while managing the complex interactions of multiple stakeholders to promote sustainability in global supply chains. His research interest is sustainable operations, dynamic capability, absorptive capacity.
He currently leads a research group in the department: 'Supply chain, sustainability and circular economy'.
