1. In 2022, Assessment of the environmental impacts and economic performance and the trade-off between the recycling and remanufacturing of automobile batteries: Bangladesh perspective
Traditional automobiles relying on fossil fuels emit pollutants, urging the automotive sector to explore alternative fuel solutions. Battery-powered electric vehicles are gaining traction, but their batteries degrade over time, requiring recycling or remanufacturing. This research investigates the feasibility of these processes for automobile batteries in Bangladesh. Methodology includes literature review, industry visits, and lifecycle analysis. Results show recycling is prevalent due to battery sealing, but lead and sulfuric acid pose environmental concerns. Economic analysis highlights cost-saving potential in recycling. Limitations include lack of data on greenhouse gas emissions.

2. In the FY 2019- 2020, he worked on "Research facilities development for the hybrid micro machining workcell through augmentation of existing malfunctioned CNC machines". This research work has been funded by The Research Center of SUST and Bangladesh Higher Education Commission through Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. About the project: The demand for microproducts is increasing day-to-day due to the country’s economic development efforts, not only in the industrial field but also in daily life. The majority of these increasing demands are now being fulfilled by procuring the microproducts locally, or the importing from the foreign vendors. Hence, these products are more expensive in the local market. Therefore, it is high time to put our best effort in the research field of micromachining technology in order to keep pace with the advancement of the modern world towards miniaturization. This research is, therefore, a pioneering endeavor to initiate the study and research programs on the micro- machining area, due to its significant cost-effective scopes and wide application in field of micromanufacturing domain that will unquestionably enable a vital advancement in least developed, or developing country like Bangladesh. To minimize the limitations of standalone micromachining processes, hybrid micromachining systems with multifunctional capabilities are considered to be the future solution. As the micromachining systems are very much size and shape sensitive, then the use of a CNC system would be beneficial as the total fabrication process is designer’s code dependent, and it might reduce the dependence of operators’ skill, maturity and adaptability.
