Biography

Mr Tuhin Dey is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. He joined as a Lecturer in this department on JAN, 2013. Prior coming in this university Mr Dey worked as a Lecturer in department of Electrical and Electrical Engineering (EEE) in Metropolitan University, Sylhet. He completed his under graduation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and post graduation in Telecommunication from the same university in the year of 2013.
His teaching interest includes VLSI Circuit, CMOS Fabrication, Semiconductor Device & Circuit Theory and Digital Signal Processing. He also has the aptitude of teaching of Electrical Power System, Electrical Power System Protection and Electrical Machines. His research interests center on Electrical, Thermal, Optical Characterization and Optimization of advanced Semiconductor Devices: FinFET, Photo-voltaic Cell and GaAs Devices using Silvaco Atlas & Athena Tools, VLSI Circuit design, MEMS sensor.
Mr Dey was born in Sylhet, Bangladesh. He likes travel a lot and always tries to fit as many holidays as possible into his hectic schedules.

  • Electrical, Thermal, Optical Characterization and Optimization of advanced Semiconductor Devices: FinFET, Photo-voltaic Cell and GaAs Devices using Silvaco Atlas & Athena Tools

Graduate Supervision

  • 1. Currently a group of six students are working on analysis of electrical and optical properties analysis of compound semiconductor devices: FinFET, Double Gate MOSFET, Silicon and Nanowire Solar Cells
  • 2. Under my supervision three (03) undergraduate students have completed their Thesis titled Performance Analysis of MEMS Piezoresistive Pressure Sensor. The simulation tool COMSOL have been used and sensitivity has been studied for different shapes of both diaphragm and Piezoresistor This paper has been published in International Journal of Engineering Trends and Technology (IJETT), Volume -31, Number-1, Year of Publication: 2016
