Biography

Dr. Md Mahbubul Hakim is Professor at the Department of Economics, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. His areas of expertise include transport economics, energy economics, and development economics. He worked as a lecturer in economics at Macquarie University, Australia. He also applied his economic analysis skills to various projects funded by Volvo Research and Educational Foundations, International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), Transport for NSW etc. Moreover, Dr. Hakim presented his analytical works at conferences held in Washington D.C. and New York (U.S.A.), Antwerp (Belgium), Rhodes (Greece), Melbourne (Australia), Santiago (Chile), Shanghai (China), Singapore and visited many other countries for research purposes. He is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Bangladesh Economic Association.
