Biography

Born in Habiganj 1975, Passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam in 1990 securing 1st division in Science group from Habiganj Govt. High School, Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in 1992 securing 1st division in Science group from Brindabon Govt. College. Completed BSc (Hon) in Chemistry in 1997 (exam held in 1999) obtaining 1st class 2nd position and MSc in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry branch in1998 (exam held in 2000) 1st class 1st position from Dept. of Chemistry, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
After that selected for Australian Govt scholarship (Australian Development Scholarship) in 2004 and Completed successfully MS in Environmental Science and Management from Southern Cross University, NSW, Australia. During my stay in Australia, I worked with Prof Dr. David McConchie and Dr. Malcolm Clark to develop new sorbent utilizing Aluminium (Al) mining waste (bauxite refinery) which is one of the burden for the country. By the grace of Almighty I was successful to remove arsenic from water using unconventional bauxite refinery waste based sorbent efficiently than with other competing conventional sorbents.
Completed successfully PhD from Kumamoto University, Japan, in 2010 under Japanese Govt Monbukagakusho Scholarship. During my PhD I got opportunity to work with Machida group headed by the distinguish scientist professor Dr Masato Machida. By the blessings of Almighty, I developed 4 more new precious metal supported catalyst to remove oxides of nitrogen. One of which (Rh/ZrP2O7) showed outstanding capacity and Kumamoto University, Japan got patent on this.
