Biography

Khairul Hasan is working as a faculty member in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh. Previously, he worked as a lecturer at Stamford University, Bangladesh. He completed his B.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from SUST. Right now, he is doing his master's degree in Civil Engineering (concentration in Water Resource Engineering) at the University of Memphis, USA. His MSc thesis based on tracers' utility in ground-water modeling to identify the probable locations of the breach(es) in an urban wellfield. His research goal is to find, "How can conceptual models and optimization algorithms be used to design and forecast short term and long term watershed adaptation alternatives for communities combatting flooding, droughts, and/or water quality impacts due to changing the climate and anthropogenic drivers?"
